Lecture Series: Designing Heroines

I have just booked myself in for one these fantastic lectures coming up
at the Fashion and Textiles Museum in London later this month. I am
headed to ‘In Conversation with… Pat Albeck’.

Designing Women: Post-War British Textiles

Britain was at the forefront of international textile design in the 1950s and 1960s. Three women – Lucienne Day, Jacqueline Groag and Marian Mahler – led this movement. ‘Designing Women’ explores these women’s pioneering role in combining art and manufacturing to change the direction of the modern design industry.
